The branches vary greatly from one to the next. We use standard joinery and when the branches allow a classic mortise and tenon joinery is  also used. Please Note - We are not always able to use branches with the "Y" as seen in image. Your hourglass is completed with a solid pewter maple leaf closure on one side of the hourglass so intricately detailed it looks as if it drifted down from the tree into place. The other side is adorned with an Acorn Cluster closure. These artistic, natural elements of The Family Tree are a charming addition to any decor, and they combine to create the peaceful aesthetic of the outdoors. Fill your hourglass from either side by opening and closing it with the closures.
